Fayuan Ding, associate researcher, focuses on the research of nutrition and feed additives for yellow-feathered broiler and lean pigs. He has rich practical experience in the fields of piglet formula technology, meat quality nutrition regulation technology, chicken and duck nutrition, lean pig nutrition, etc. Additionally, he participated in the national broiler system project and has provided technology transfer and service for many large and medium-sized feed enterprises, such as Guangzhou Hope Co., Ltd, Zhongshan Taishan Feeds Co., Ltd, Guangdong Xinliang Industry Co., Ltd, Guangdong Tongwei Feed, Zhanjiang Evergreen Aquatic Product Science and Technology Co., Ltd, Guangxi Liyuan Co., Ltd, Guangxi Fufeng Group Co., Ltd, etc.
He presided over or participated in 23 national, provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects. Among them, the projects “Study on the Nutritional Needs of Lean Pigs” and “Research and Application of Key Technologies for Pig Healthy Breeding” won the first prize of Guangdong Science and Technology; “New Feed Additive Development and Application Technology Research” won the second prize of 2004 National Science and Technology Progress Award; “New Feed Additive Development and Research on Optimal Utilization Technology of Pig and Chicken Feed Additives” won the second prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Award; “Research and Application of Key Nutrition Technology for Healthy Pig Breeding” won the first prize of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. He also participated in formulation of Agricultural Industry Standards “Nutritional Requirement of Yellow Feather Chickens”, editing and publishing 3 books and more than 20 articles, and the development of 8 national and provincial key new products. In 2009, he was also selected as a member of the Enterprise Science and Technology Commissioner Program of The Ministry of Education of Guangdong Province.
