Dong Ruan
Associate Researcher
Dr. Dong Ruan is Associate Researcher and Postdoctoral/Visiting Scientist of Tufts University. He is a member of Animal Nutrition Society of Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine and a member of Guangdong Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Ruan mainly engaged in Poultry Nutrition and Feed Technology, his research interests include Precise Nutrition for Yellow Chickens, Nutrition and Immunity, Feed Additives applied technologies and so on.
He has host or participated in the National Key Research and Development Plan Projects, the National Modern Agricultural Industrial Technology System, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, the Guangdong International Cooperation Project and so on. Dr. Ruan has won two awards for the Innovation Team Award of the Chinese Agricultural Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Agriculture and the first prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Award. He has declared 4 national invention patents as the first inventor, of which 2 have been authorized. Dr. Ruan has participated in the compilation of "Research Progress on the Nutritional Needs of Yellow Feather Broilers" article, and the completion of the "Nutrient Requirements of Yellow Chickens" national agricultural industry standard. He has published over 20 research and review articles as the first author in his research areas, 11 of which was SCI papers.
