Zhongyong Gou: graduated from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) with Animal Nutrition major, a member of “the China Agriculture Research System (Chicken). Mainly engaged in the nutrition and feed research of Chinese Yellow chickens, breeders and layers. The research areas include precise nutrient requirements of Yellow chickens, Yellow chicken breeders, laying hens, nutritional regulation of meat quality, oxidation and immunity of Yellow chickens, utilization of unconventional feed resources, nutritional regulation of reproductive performance of Yellow chicken breeders, egg quality, etc. He has leaded more than 10 projects, such as Guangdong Natural Science Foundation project, Guangdong Science and Technology Plan (International Cooperation project), Guangzhou Science and Technology Plan Key project, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs bidding project, Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences Rural revitalization local branch and expert workstation work fund project, etc. He participated in the development of Chinese Agricultural industry standard NY/T 3645-2020 "Nutrient Requirements for Yellow Chickens" and Chinese national standard GB /T 5916-2020 "Compound Feed for Layers and Broilers". He has won one Innovation Team Award of China Agricultural Science and Technology Award (equivalent to the first prize of Scientific and Technological Achievements) of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of Hubei Province, the second prize of Agricultural Technology Promotion Award of Guangdong Province and the 2019-2021 National Harvest Prize for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery. He has obtained 4 authorized national invention patents. He has participated in editing 5 books and published more than 100 academic papers, among which 13 papers have been published in SCI journals such as "Journal of Animal Science" and "Poultry Science" as the first author. He has been invited to review papers by "Poultry Science", "Food Chemistry" and other magazines for many times.
