Peng Chen, Master, senior livestock engineer, is mainly engaged in breeding and industrialized promoting of the new yellow-feathered chicken strains, and focused on the specialized lines selection and establishing new strains of yellow-feathered chickens, in which the Strain Lingnanhuang 3 that he participated has been approved by the National Livestock and Poultry Variety Approval Committee of China). Chen has presided over and participated in over 10 ministerial, provincial and municipal projects, publishing 9 papers (2 SCI ones), along with 4 national invention patents being authorized. Also, he has been prized once with the first prize of National Harvest for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Award, once with the first prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Award, and twice with the first prize of Guangdong Agricultural Technology Promotion Award.
