Xia Yan, Master, senior livestock engineer, is engaged in the preservation and evaluation of the Chinese indigenous chickens, the breeding and production of new chicken strains, and the construction and promotion of industrialized platform. Yan has published over 30 papers (5 SCI ones) and 2 poultry monographs, being authorized 3 design patents and 5 items of software copyright. In addition, she has been prized onece with the third prize of National Informatization Research Achievement Award, once with the first prize of National Harvest for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Award, and once with the first prize of Guangdong Agricultural Technology Promotion Award, etc.
