Research achievement

• Work on antioxidant stress and immune regulation of aquatic animals, development and application of new feed resources, breeding and healthy culture of aquatic animals. Firstly proposed β-1, 3 glucan as immune enhancer in China, and developed a series of functional aquatic feed additives and premixes such as Timianhuang, Huitanfu and Shuangganbao. Develop black soldier fly as new feed protein source. The research on anti-oxidative stress and immune regulation in aquatic animals and safety additives are in the domestic leading level . Won 11 awards including one First Class Prize of China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, two Second Class Prize of Guangdong Province Science and Technology Award, etc.

• Work on new varieties cultivation and breeding of aquatic animals such as Litopenaeus vannamei, tropical sea cucumber and grouper. Develop comprehensive treatment technology of wastewater from aquaculture to provide support for the quality and efficiency improvement and green development of aquaculture industry in Guangdong Province.
• The first time to breakthrough of artificial breeding technology of tropical sea cucumber such as Holothuria leucospilota, Stichopus variegatus and Cercodemas anceps. Initially establish tropical sea cucumber Foundation seed nursery laying a solid basis for nationalization of tropical sea cucumber seed industry.
